The CLS ecosystem is dependent for its smooth operation on a vendor community that provides software and services to our Settlement and User Members. In recognition of this dependency, CLS is committed to providing direct support to the vendor community via the Vendor Relationship function.

The vendors are broadly split into two groups:

• Organisations that have developed member applications that interface directly with the CLS system and are therefore tightly coupled to CLS. These companies require detailed technical information and support relating to the interface protocols.
  
  
• Organisations that provide other CLS related software or services to our members. These companies are interested in general update information from CLS, but do not need the detailed technical information outlined above.

CLS maintains formal relationships with vendors through a Vendor Registration Programme. The programme is split into two tiers  'Registered' and 'Registered Plus' that reflect the two groups outlined above.

It is a flexible programme provided by CLS that offers vendors direct access to CLS documentation and interface software, the CLS Member Support Desk, marketing opportunities, use of the CLS brand mark, plus up-to-date briefings, practical guidance and a dedicated website, as appropriate.

Registered Programme

The Registered Programme is designed for service and system providers, that do not integrate directly with the central CLS applications. Vendors can join for a £2,500 yearly subscription, with the following features:

Standard package

• Formal legal relationship with CLS
• Use of CLS Brand Mark
• Access to CLS functional documentation
• Access to CLS vendor website and library
• Regular status updates and information releases (via email)
• Participation in workshops and roadshows that are arranged by CLS from time to time
• Market your services on our websites

Possible add-ons

• Participation of CLS staff at Vendor organised events, such as user group meetings

Registered Plus Programme

The Registered Plus Programme is designed for vendors that interface directly with the CLS core applications. Vendors can subscribe to the Registered Plus package for a £5,000 yearly subscription, which includes all the features of the Registered package as well as:

• Direct access to the CLS Member Support Desk for support relating to the CLS interfaces
• Access to technical and interface documents
• Regular releases of the software development kit (CD-Rom)
• Support with interface queries directly from the technical teams at CLS
