Chadwick Renfro

Chadwick Renfro is the former Chief Information Security Officer at Bank of America and Fidelity Investments.

Mr. Renfro has over 27 years of experience in senior management positions, focusing on cybersecurity and crisis management. In previous roles at Fidelity Investments, Mr. Renfro led several significant initiatives, including launching Fidelity's retail digital assets offering for cryptocurrency, and leading the enterprise response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Mr. Renfro served as Head of Enterprise Cybersecurity and Business Continuity, overseeing Fidelity's cybersecurity efforts and ensuring robust company protection.

Before joining Fidelity, Mr. Renfro was the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Bank of America's Information Protection division, where he led a team of over 1,200 security professionals. He worked at Bank of America from 2000 to 2014. Before becoming the CISO, Mr. Renfro led several teams in the cybersecurity department, from Cyber Operations to Perimeter Defense and Security Architecture. Mr. Renfro was selected as a Bank of America Technology Fellow in 2009.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Renfro served as an officer with the U.S. Air Force Computer Emergency Response Team (AFCERT) at the Air Force Information Warfare Center, headquartered in San Antonio, charged with detection and response to cyberattacks on U.S. Air Force cyber assets.

Throughout his career, Mr. Renfro has led over 500 cyber incident investigations and developed specialized tools for information security, including intrusion detection systems. He holds 11 patents in the areas of risk management and intrusion detection.

Mr. Renfro is a graduate of Baylor University. He is based in the US.
