Meet the team

Joe joined CLS in 2015 and is responsible for CLS’s relationship management strategy globally, with particular emphasis on participation expansion and deepening relationships with our settlement members.
He brings over 20 years of experience to the role across institutional sales, marketing, operational and risk management. Most recently, Joe was Chief Operating Officer (COO) for global FX markets at Jefferies, a leading US-based, global investment bank and institutional securities firm. Prior to that, Joe held a number of senior FX roles, including COO for Global FX at Bank of America and COO for FX and Global Metals Sales and Trading at HSBC.

Ram is Head of Innovation and Technology Delivery at CLS. As part of this role, Ram is responsible for the firm’s Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) efforts. Ram’s career in technology and financial markets spans nearly two decades, including ten years at Credit Suisse where he held various leadership roles within the investment banking technology organization enabling Equities, Fixed Income, and FX businesses. Ram also chairs the FX Standards Evaluation Group of ISO 20022, the governing body for international standards for financial messaging.

Margaret is responsible for developing CLS’s business across settlement members, third-party participants and other key market participants in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
Margaret joined CLS in 2018 from Northern Trust where she was Senior Vice President and Head of Client Service responsible for Northern Trust’s institutional custody business across Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Prior to this, she held a number of relationship, sales and product roles, including APAC Client Relationship Management in brokerage operations at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Head of Sales at HSBC’s funds business in Hong Kong as well as Account and Product Management at Citi.
Margaret holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia.

Glenn joined CLS in 2012. He has over 20 years of experience across Operations, Middle Office and sales within the financial industry. Prior to his current role, Glenn was previously Head of Account Management EMEA at CLS having joined from Credit Agricolé CIB London, where he was CLS Operations Manager within FX operations. Prior to that, he held a number of roles including Senior Operations Manager at Citi London and Head of Treasury and Banking at Merrill Lynch International Wealth Management Middle office services.

Sammie is responsible for sales and relationship management for clients based in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan and Korea) including settlement members, third party banks and asset managers.
Sammie joined CLS in 2011 as part of analytics team responsible for pricing models, forecasting and business analysis. He transitioned to a Market Development Analysis role based in Hong Kong in 2014, working on China and regionally-related projects, before taking up his current position in Relationship Management and Sales in 2017.
Prior to CLS, Sammie was a defence consultant with Atkins Global, a business process consultant with CACI and collaborated on EU projects with Airbus at the University of Southampton. He holds a Certificate in Quantitative Finance and a Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering.

Ed is responsible for sales and relationship management for clients based in the Asia Pacific region including settlement members, third-party participants and other key market participants.
Ed joined CLS in 2017 to cover the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and transferred to Hong Kong in June 2018. He was previously at HSBC Global Banking and Markets in the client relationship management department, specialising in large asset managers.
Prior to that he had a broad and successful career as an Apache attack helicopter pilot and British Army officer, serving in multiple war zones including Afghanistan.

Angus joined CLS in 2018 as Head of Product and is responsible for creating and delivering a portfolio of new forward-thinking products across the company’s three business lines – settlement, processing and data. He has over twenty years’ experience in capital markets infrastructure and securities services, specialising in product management, strategy and strategic change management.
Angus will be capitalizing on his innovative approach to product delivery and market connectivity to embrace the firm’s ambitious product growth agenda over the next 18-24 months.
Prior to joining CLS, Angus was a leading voice on technology innovation, including blockchain, for six years at Euroclear where he was Head of Product Strategy and Innovation for the post-trade provider. Previously, Angus held executive roles at HSBC Securities Services and the London Stock Exchange.
Angus holds a BA (Hons) 1st Class, History from University of Leeds.

Oliver is responsible for leading CLS’s communications globally across brand, marketing, PR and employee communications and engagement.
Oliver joined CLS in 2013 from Royal Bank of Scotland’s investment banking group, where he was responsible for advising the markets team on internal and change management communications. Prior to this, he held a number of senior global communications consultancy roles in multiple blue chip organizations across telecoms, oil and gas and resourcing, both in the UK and mainland Europe.
Oliver holds an honors degree in Business Communication and Public Relations from the European University, Barcelona.
