G. Daniel (Dan) Doney is Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer at DTCC Digital Assets, where he leads technology strategy for institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure and products.

Previously, Dan was CTO and Founder of Securrency, architecting blockchain platforms that transformed financial market infrastructure and enabled the first regulator-approved, US registered funds on blockchain. He holds four awarded patents and eleven pending, advancing secure, compliant, and scalable blockchain adoption.

Dan was the U.S. intelligence community’s first Chief Innovation Officer, pioneering government innovation strategies and earning the Federal Fierce 15 award. He has also consulted for the FBI on cybersecurity and counterintelligence. Dan began his career as a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. An expert in AI, machine learning, blockchain, and enterprise architecture, Dan holds a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from MIT.
