Joshua Sarpong joined CLS in 2025 as a Public Policy and Innovation Specialist in the CEO Office. He supports CLS’s innovation and public policy agenda, leading research and initiatives on emerging market trends, including distributed ledger technologies, central bank digital currencies and cross-border payments. His work helps CLS identify new opportunities and drive efficiencies for the global FX market.

Prior to joining CLS, Joshua spent three years at Ernst & Young as a Senior Consultant, working across Capital Markets Strategy and Risk. He advised Tier 1 banks on regulatory change, digital assets and market infrastructure initiatives, with a particular focus on payments and the FX market. Earlier in his career, he worked at the UK Financial Conduct Authority, specializing in wholesale market policy, post-trade regulation and market integrity.
