Mr. Lawrence’s career at Citi spanned 26 years, most recently as Managing Director, Transaction & Processing Risk Head (2021-2023), where he created new first line risk and control function within Markets, tasked with the oversight and management of Operational and Compliance risks contained within the operation of business processes end-to-end.

Prior to that role, he served as Global CAO, Rates & Currencies, Citi Markets and Securities Services responsible for the leadership of the Global Rates & Currencies Business Management functions throughout developed and emerging markets. During this period, he spent 5 years on the Board of CLS Group Holdings AG as a Shareholder Director.

Prior to joining the Markets business, Mr. Lawrence was part of ICG Operations Management and had responsibility for various groups including FX, Treasury, Futures, Interest Claims, Brokerage & Trading Expenses Operations. He also held a number of other management roles at Citi during a seven-year tenure within Transaction Services Operations in the UK covering Balance Sheet Controls and subsequently in Zurich and Milan as a Senior Country Operations Officer.

Mr. Lawrence holds a BSc in Economics and Mathematical Sciences from Open University. He is based in the UK.
